Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) - 1 Day

Our most popular course! This Level 3 nationally recognised Award in Emergency First Aid at Work satisfies the legal requirements of the regulatory body for First Aid, the Health and Safety Executive (HSE). 

All learners will leave the course with the skills and knowledge to provide treatment to their casualties in a prompt, safe and effective manner (min 6 contact hours). You will be able to act as an Emergency First Aider in you organisation. 

Content Includes:

  • Roles and responsibilities of a first aider 
  • Assessing the scene and the casualty 
  • Providing first aid to an unconscious casualty 
  • Recovery Position 
  • Seizures
  • Choking 
  • External bleeding 
  • Shock
  • Minor injuries Burns/scolds 
  • CPR

First Aid at Work- 3 Day

This three-day course covers a comprehensive range of first aid emergencies, enabling all participants to deal with emergency situations with confidence in a prompt, safe and effective way. 

Wit plenty of hands on practice time, this course will give the participants a qualification to the highest level of First Aid. The course meets the statutory requirements of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981. (min 18 hours) 

Content includes:

• Primary survey and the recovery positon
• Cardiopulmonary resuscita on and the safe use of an Automated External De brillator • Choking
• Major bleeding and shock
• Major seizure
• Minor injuries
• Secondary assessment (top to toe survey)

• Injured limbs
• Head and spinal injuries
• Chest injuries
• Major illness
• Burns and scalds
• Eye injuries
• Poisoning
• Anaphylaxis
• Diabetes
• Epilepsy

Basic Life Support and Automated External Defibulation - 1 Day

Heart and circulatory disease claims around 200,000 lives each year. Many could have been saved if a defibrillator was made available.

Automated External Defibrillators (AED’s) are now becoming more common throughout a range of public and work places. A casualty’s survival rate will dramatically increase if an AED is available and if you know how to use it.

This very practical course will enable your learners to use the AED competently and with confidence.

Not only does this course deal with the safe use of an AED but it also includes vital training in resuscitation and choking procedures (min 6 contact hours).
